John Murray spent years sharing his real-life experiences, lessons, and faith through storytelling and writing. His journey led to the creation of Genesis to Glory, a growing collection of books inspired by the Bible, along with his personal story, God Verses the Bad Boy.

Then, in November 2025, at age 68, he discovered a new way to tell those stories — through AI-assisted music. What began with one song has grown into approximately 400 songs, creating a musical autobiography that follows his life from the streets of the Bronx to Orlando, Florida, and beyond.

John Murray GG is the artist name of American author, storyteller, songwriter, and independent music producer John Murray, creator of an expanding AI-assisted autobiographical music catalog. His goal is to tell one man’s entire life story through thousands of interconnected songs, creating a continuous musical autobiography spanning childhood, family, marriage, faith, work, and decades of personal experiences.

The Beginning — November 19, 2025
The musical autobiography officially began with the release of “The Bronx” on November 19, 2025, under the artist name John Murray GG. What started with one song has grown into a catalog of approximately 400 original songs in less than one year. Unlike traditional music catalogs consisting of unrelated songs, John Murray GG’s autobiographical songs follow a continuing chronological storyline. Each song captures a real memory, person, place, event, or experience. Characters return, stories connect, and individual songs become chapters of a much larger life story.

From the Bronx to Orlando — A Lifetime in Music
The musical journey begins in the Bronx, New York, during the 1960s. The songs follow John Murray’s childhood adventures, teenage years, working life, marriage, fatherhood, spiritual journey, and eventual move to Orlando, Florida. The growing catalog includes his experiences with the United States Postal Service and his years driving a taxi in Orlando before the arrival of Uber. His taxi adventures form a continuing collection of musical stories known as Johnny Cab — Tales from a Taxi Driver in a Pre-Uber World. The autobiography continues chronologically, with decades of memories still waiting to become songs.

Human Stories, AI-Assisted Music 
John Murray writes and develops the stories and lyrics from his own experiences, working with artificial intelligence technology to create the musical arrangements and vocals.
He is the storyteller, songwriter, and producer, not the performing singer.
His creative process combines human memories, personal storytelling, songwriting, and AI-assisted music production.

A Musical Catalog Designed to Reach Thousands 
The goal is to build thousands of connected autobiographical songs documenting one person’s lifetime. This is an ongoing experiment in long-form musical storytelling, demonstrating how an individual can use emerging technology to preserve personal history through music. The project began in November 2025 and continues to grow through new songs, recurring characters, and connected chapters. John Murray hopes to establish a pioneering example of a large-scale, AI-assisted musical autobiography that future storytellers may build upon.

John Murray is also an author whose first book, God Verses the Bad Boy, began his published storytelling journey. His books and music are connected through Genesis to Glory, his broader creative identity. Through writing and music, he continues exploring real-life experiences, faith, family, and the lessons learned over a lifetime.
